At Paunov Driving School you will find:
Category B Driving Course
Category B includes passenger cars with a maximum mass up to 3500 kg and up to 8 passengers + driver.
- Capable of driving a trailer up to 750 kg;
- If the trailer is over 750 kg, the total mass must not exceed 4250 kg;
- Minimum horarium: 69 training hours spread over a minimum of 30 training days.
The course includes:
- 38 hours theory - road signs, safety, basics of the law;
- 31 hours practice - real-world driving.
The practice takes place in:
- Polygon - initial maneuvers and driving;
- Highway - driving at high speed;
- Suburban - safe overtaking;
- City traffic - dealing with traffic;
- Railroad crossing - caution;
- Parking - parallel and perpendicular.
Completion: Two exams before the DAI - theory and practice.
Requirements for applicants
To enroll in a driving course at the Paunov driving school, you must be 17 years and 9 months. This allows you to start the training, and the tests are taken after the age of 18.
The requirement is set for safety and adequate preparation for driving.

To start a driving course you need to provide the following documents:

- Medical certificate for the category you are applying for
- Application - to be filled in at our office
For driving licence holders
Candidates who are studying for category B for the first time or who already hold a category AM licence will undergo the full programme of theoretical and practical training as required by the training documentation.
If the applicant holds a category A, A1, A2 or category T licence (including Tkt or Ttm), he/she shall undergo abbreviated theoretical training. The training shall cover topics 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 4.2, 4.3, 4.5, 4.7, 4.8 and 6.1 of the road safety curriculum as well as the full practical driving course.
Persons with already acquired category B1 undergo practical training only. This includes topics from Section 2 - Basic driving and manoeuvring skills. Driving at different speeds' and Section 3 - ‘Driving in different road conditions’ of the driving programme.
If the applicant holds a category B with code 78, only adapted practical training is given. This covers topics 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 of Section 1 - ‘Initial skills in relation to safe driving’, and topic 2.2 of Section 2 of the driving programme.
In the event that the category B licence is withdrawn under Article 157(4) of the Road Traffic Act, a shortened theoretical training covering the topics of Sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Road Safety Programme shall be conducted.
For pupils enrolled in the State Licensing Examination, training in Section 1 of the Road Safety Programme shall be recognised as successfully completed.
